Shepherdstown Day Care

The Shepherdstown Day Care Center serves the community by providing quality child care and education for the children and their families. The mission of this nonprofit, non-discriminatory center is to create a safe, positive and stimulating environment of respect and trust which ultimately lays the foundation for mature and responsible adults.

Shepherdstown Day Care is not a traditional, custodial day care, but an early education center, and is recognized as an outstanding area leader in early childhood education. Classroom environments and activities for each age group are designed to encourage curiosity, exploration, creativity, and problem solving and skill development. Shepherdstown Day Care's program is designed to help
children develop the social skills and empathy necessary to get along with others, to feel accepted in a group, to communicate thoughts and feelings, and to develop a sense of independence and confidence.
