Community Markets Inc. is in need of volunteers to support our office operations, helping ensure that families in WV have access to locally grown foods. Volunteers in the office would help with computer tasks (and possible other office tasks) during a given week, and particularly on Tuesday afternoons.

Community Markets Inc. is in need of weekly volunteer drivers to support our operations, helping ensure that families in WV have access to locally grown foods. Volunteer drivers are needed on occasion at different times throughout a given week. Pick-ups and drop-offs will generally occur in the areas of Charles Town, Shepherdstown, Martinsburg, and/or Kearneysville. The volunteer will need their own reliable transportation for this.

Volunteer: Charles Town - Local Food Access Market Volunteer

Community Markets Inc. is in need of weekly volunteers for the St. Isidore Market, a weekly local food access market held in Charles Town, WV. This market brings products from local farmers to a singular accessible location to increase affordable access to fresh and nutritious food. The market runs every Thursday from 5:00-6:30 PM. Volunteers are needed for set up starting around 3:00 pm, to assist during the market, and to help close down the market until about 7:00 pm. During the market, volunteer positions include service at the table/cash register, running and carrying orders, and assembling orders in a refrigerated trailer. Families are welcome to volunteer with individuals younger than the minimum age set if parents are in attendance and contact market manager prior to event.

Volunteers are invited to arrive at either 3:00 or 4:15 and may be needed as late as 7:00. However, any amount of time that can be donated is welcome!
