Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Panhandle
Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Panhandle is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization building decent affordable houses for low-income families in Berkeley, Morgan and Jefferson counties. Founded in 1992, HFHEP supports the Habitat for Humanity International mission statement of "Seeking to put God's love into action. Habitat brings people together to build homes, communities and hope".We offer homeownership opportunities to qualifying families who are unable to obtain conventional mortgage financing. The Habitat Vision is "A world where everyone has a decent place to live".
Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Panhandle works with partner families to build safe, decent, and affordable housing. Volunteers are utilized on the construction site to assist in completing the home, eliminating some contractor costs and keeping the house affordable for the partner familiy.
